According to reports, a Kentucky man aged 51 has been taken into custody after he was accused of kissing a 5-year-old girl in the mouth aboard a cruise vessel over the weekend. Local 10.
Ernest Richard Bishop Jr. was taken into Miami-Dade police custody Monday. He was charged for lewd and sexual conduct.
Cops believe that Bishop was seen by the father of the minor kissing his daughter on Saturday night as the ship was sailing at sea. Newsweek reported.
Bishop was taken into custody after the cruise ship he was on, the Carnival Sunrise, returned to port in Miami, Newsweek reported.
Bishop was then brought to the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Sexual Crime Investigations Unit, for an interview. But cops claim he refused a question without an attorney present. NBC 6 reported.
Bishop was booked and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. After being arrested, he later posted a $7500 bond according to Local 10.
Local 10 reports that he returns to court in November for an arraignment.
Inside Edition Digital reached out the Miami-Dade court in an attempt to find out if Bishop entered a plea, or if he has legal representation. However, we have not received a reply.
