Katherine Ryan has revealed that she once feared her daughter Violet would be taken away from her after someone made a false allegation about her.
She claimed that she was confronted by child protection officers eight years ago after finishing a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Speaking to You magazine, she said: “I’d made some bad choices for myself. There had been a few volatile men in my life.
“But I was confident of one truth: Violet was impeccably looked after, protected, and loved. We were closer than we thought.
“But now, I genuinely did not know if my daughter could be taken away from me. I spent the whole night before their visit crying.”
However, officers soon realized that Katherine was a caring and loving mother.
Officers knew that the allegations were hurting Katherine.
Violet was only four years old, and Katherine had two formal interviews before the case could be closed.
She stated that the entire situation made her feel vulnerable.
Katherine married Bobby Koostra, her childhood sweetheart. They recently had their first child.

Their three-month-old baby boy is called Fred.
The Sun reported that she previously said of her relationship: “Magically my high school boyfriend walked into my life and I did everything possible not to marry him. I was against partnership at that point. I was looking forward to aging alone with many dogs. And then I just loved him too much.”
Katherine Ryan has recently been the host of the new ITV2 show Ready to Mingle.
The series follows one woman’s search for the perfect relationship from 12 men.
However, the twist is that half of them are single and half of them are actually in relationships.
All of them are competing for a cash prize at the end of the series.
Talking about her new son and daughter’s bond Katherine said: “I had a hard time when my daughter was born. I was 25 and I didn’t know what was going on, I questioned a lot of my life choices, I was really emotional and I really felt alone as my family was so far away.
“And now I don’t know what it is about this little boy, he just eats and sleeps and he is so lovely. I think I appreciate it a lot more because I’m older and because I have a live-in babysitter essentially, because Violet is 12.”
