Chris Rock finally claps back at Will Smith over Oscar Slap

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle were on tour in the U.K., where they slapped Will Smith. Chappelle claimed that Smith used to be family-friendly. “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” star had “ripped his mask off”Rock in March, when he famously slapped Rock

“Will did the impression of a perfect person for 30 years, and he ripped his mask off and showed us he was as ugly as the rest of us,” Chappelle said at the Liverpool’s M&S Arena on on Thursday.

Chappelle observed that Smith’s Oscar-night act of violence actually made him more relatable. “Whatever the consequences are… I hope he doesn’t put his mask back on again, and lets his real face breathe. Smith apologized to Rock for his actions in an emotional video. Rock still hasn’t accepted Smith’s apology. Smith was banned from Academy events over the next 10 year and has voluntarily resigned as a member. Smith did not have to return his Best Actor Oscar. “King Richard.”

Rock also took aim, during his set, at Meghan Markle who just launched Archetypes, her podcast. He accused her, among other things, of using her complaints regarding the British royals to be famous.
