AromaPrime, a team of smell experts who are well-known for making a stink at many places around the globe and have been working with Chessington since more than thirty years, is helping them to do this.

AromaPrime is preparing a Halloween scent by adding to its collection at Chessington. This smell combines all the pungent scents that can be found in the park.

The collection of smells has been whittled down to a potent blend, which includes skunk spray, rhino dung and penguin vomit, all blended with the sweetly creepy and musty smell of Vampire – Chessington’s first-scented roller coaster.

Liam R. Findlay is a scent specialist at AromaPrime. He explained that “multi-sensory experiences are key to core memories as smell receptors directly connect to the part of our brain that processes memories, emotions.

“Smells from your youth can trigger memories even if they aren’t clear why.”

“That’s why smells are brilliant for enhancing experiences and why we know Chessington’s Halloween blend will evoke the childlike, but gruesome fun of the season.”

Chessington’s Howl’o’ween celebrations will take place from October 15-30.

The Witches of Adventure Point will be back again this year casting spells all over the park, as well as Wilf the Werewolf, who is joined by Violet the Vampire Bat in their show The Misadventures of Wilf & Violet.

At the newly-opened Shipwreck Coast land, guests have to avoid Broady’s Band of Brigands to help the Mayor of Shipwreck Coast, whose prized fish has gone missing.

And the award-winning scare maze, Creepy Caves returns for its final year, along with a new show called Trick or Treat Live and a daily costume competition.

Tickets start from £36 per person, with pre-booking essential – children under the age of three get in for free.

Aromaprime also includes gorilla urine, body odour, and Egyptian tomb. All of these smells add to the resort’s experience.

The Creepy caves have a range of scents including barns and rotting flesh.

Visitors can enjoy the Gruffalo River Rider Adventure where they can smell pine, riverbank and bat as well as oak and burning peat.

In the meantime, the Tomb Blaster has fragrances like ginger, potpourri and cacao. It also smells like an Egyptian tomb.

You will find skunks and rhinodung among many animal-related smells throughout the park. Classic park scents such as donuts, popcorn, and vomit are also common.
