Brown and Etheredge became engaged in Jacksonville in Florida in 2010. This was three years after their divorce from Whitney Houston. The couple has remained married ever since.

For their wedding, the R&B star was surrounded by all family members; Landon, La’Princia, Bobby Jr., and Cassius, the only child of Brown and Etheredge at the time. However, Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina wasn’t there.

BOBBY BROWN

Bobby Brown is an African-American singer-songwriter who ranks in the register of RnB, soul, and especially new jack swing. His artistic career began in 1978. In 1983, he was a member of the New Edition.

Bobby Brown was kicked out of the group for his violent behavior during concerts in 1986. In 1992, the Massachusetts “bad boy” married Whitney Houston.

Between 1990 and 2006, Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston formed one of the hottest couples on the planet people. For the wrong reasons, the relationship between the singers was often featured in the American media.

After 14 years of fighting, the couple split. Bobby Brown is trying to relaunch his career after spending time in prison several times. He released a new album in 2012 that reached 41st place on the Billboard Album.

BOBBY BROWN AND NEW EDITION

New Edition is the American R&B group from Roxbury, Massachusetts, formed in 1978 but peaked in the 1980s. The original members of the group were Ricky Bell and Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, and Ronnie DeVoe when they first gained fame in 1983.

Johnny Gill joined the group to increase its success years later. The six members of New Edition reunited in 1996 to record the group’s sixth studio album, “Home Again.”

During the ill-fated album tour, Brown and Bivins left the group, forcing the remainder of the tour to be canceled. In 2005, the group performed a mixture of hits to celebrate BET’s 25th year.

They brought Bobby Brown on stage for an impromptu performance of their 1985 hit “Mr. Telephone Man.” Brown also performed “My Prerogative” with Ronnie DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant as dancers during their set.

On May 3, 2011, New Edition released a press release on its official website announcing that the six members were coming together as New Edition to kick off “Candy Girl’s” 30th birthday celebration with their fans.

New Edition’s influence is diverse and deep and zigzags between classic R&B and rap to pop. New Edition has a solid and deep reach. It includes Guy, Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and the Backstreet Boys.

In August 2015, BET announced that a three-part miniseries called “The New Edition Story” about the group, with all six members were co-producers, would be released in January 2017.

Jesse Collins Entertainment produced the original miniseries. It was the first music-focused, scripted miniseries. Brooke Payne (the original choreographer for the group, and their longtime manager), was also a producer.

They were awarded their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in January 2017. The three-part documentary series, which aired on BET from January 24 through 26, 2017, was broadcast by BET.

Chris Robinson directed the biopic miniseries that chronicles the lives of band members from their childhood in Boston up to Hollywood stardom as adults.

The film follows the boy group’s rise from humble beginnings in Boston in the 1970s to its success as a band and its solo members through its years of glory, including the many compositions that were made after the departure of Bobby Brown.

They made it a point to keep in touch even though they were no longer together. As you can see, Bell and Etheredge were joined by Brown and Etheredge to celebrate their anniversary.

BOBBY BROWN AND ALICIA ETHEREDGE

The couple has been good friends from their teenage years, with Etheredge attending Bobby’s first wedding in 1992. After becoming part of Brown’s management team, their relationship began to blossom in 2009.

Brown had already separated from Houston by this point. Etheredge and Brown were then engaged and exchanged vows in June 2012.

Brown and Etheredge have welcomed three children: a son, Cassius Brown, born May 30, 2009, and daughters; Bodhi Jameson Rein Brown, born July 9, 2015, and Hendrix Estelle Sheba Brown, born July 21, 2016.

Although Brown was a notorious bad boy, Etheredge has made their marriage a different one. After many ups and downs, Brown found peace with Etheredge and now they believe they are in sync.

Both of them value having the same values and having fun together. Their relationship has been strengthened by sharing the same faith and beliefs. They said,

“We believe in the same thing, we’re spiritual. We don’t choose a religion, we choose to believe in a higher power.”

Brown also found real love and happiness with Etheredge. He says she is his inspiration and everything he needs to be the man he wants to become. He considers her his everything.

BOBBY BROWN’S KIDS

Bobby was previously married to Whitney Houston, whom he met in 1989 at the Soul Train Music Awards. They became lovers in 1991 and were married on July 18, 1992. Their first child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was born in March 1993.

Additionally, he had three additional children from past relationships. Landon Brown, his first child, was born June 22, 1986, to Melika Wilkins.

He went on to have two children, La’Princia Brown (born September 17, 1990) and Bobby Brown Jr. (born November 26, 1992) with Kim Ward.

His daughter Bobbi Kristina, aged 22, died after six months in an induced coma. On January 31, 2015, she was discovered unconscious in her bathroom.

Lobar pneumonia was the cause of her death. Her system also contained drugs. On November 18, 2020, Bobby Brown Jr., his 28-year old son, was found murdered in his home.

Bobby Brown Jr., who consumed a dangerous cocktail of alcohol and cocaine as well the powerful opioid Fentanyl, died. Brown lost his ex-wife, daughter, and son within eight years, all due to drugs.

In an exclusive with “Red Table Talk,” Brown and his wife Etheredge sat down with Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris to talk. He said,

“Losing him was very, very unexpected, just like losing my daughter. We were just in the studio two nights before.”

Then talked about the death of Brown Jr., the toll it took, and how it affected their lives, especially that of their son Cassius. According to the couple, therapy was used to help Cassius understand his older brother’s death.

HIS LATE DAUGHTER AND EX-WIFE

After the death of his daughter, Brown founded the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House in her honor. This non-profit organization provides education and resources about domestic violence via its website.

They aim to educate men and women of all ages through a 24-hour crisis intervention service and emergency transitional shelter.

This house is dedicated to helping people feel empowered and teaching them how to find the power within themselves rather than looking for approval from the outside.

While speaking on the “Red Table Talk,” Brown revealed what he would have said to Houston if she were still alive. He would have told her that she is definitely missed in his spirit and heart.

Their love was strong, even though they had a difficult relationship. He considered her his friend and mother of his child. She was also one of the most talented entertainers he had ever seen, as well as one of the most recognizable voices in the world.
