Blur have announced they’ll perform a one-off reunion at Wembley in 2023 – the band’s first headline gig in eight years – here’s how to access tickets and the presale.

The performance will be the band’s only show of the year and will be their first headliner since Hyde Park in 2015. Here’s everything you need to know about the show and how to grab tickets.

The quartet will take to the stage on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Doors for the event will open at 5pm with a curfew of 10.45pm. Before the band takes to the stage a hot line-up of support acts will include British rapperSlowthai, singer-songwriterSelf Esteemand electro-pop duo Jockstrap. That should get you suitably warmed up for the main event!

How to secure Blur Wembley tickets 2023 in presale

This will be one of the hottest events of the summer with tickets in high demand, so you’ll need to know how to secure yours early.

Tickets will go on general sale on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 10am. However, if want to secure your tickets earlier you can register now for presale access to tickets sold via Ticketmaster.

The presale access starts on Thursday, November 17 at 10am. You can also buy tickets via Blur’s link on Live Nation here. A limit has been placed on the number of tickets an individual can purchase.

Speaking about the limit,Live Nation wrote: “A strict limit of six tickets per person (and per household) per event applies. Any tickets purchased over this limit may be cancelled and invalidated (in which case you will be refunded).” Under-14s must be accompanied by someone aged over 18.

What has been said about the gig?

The Britpop legends, who were pitted against rival band Oasis in the 1990s, will perform some of their greatest hits in the one-off show. The band members have spoken of their joy at reuniting.

Lead singer Damon Albarn told MSN: “We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again.”

Coxon added: “I’m really looking forward to playing with my Blur brothers again and revisiting all those great songs. Blur live shows are always amazing for me. A nice guitar and an amp turned right up and loads of smiling faces.”

James said: “There’s always something really special when the four of us get in a room. It’s nice to think that on 8 July that room will be Wembley Stadium.”

Rowntree added: “After the chaos of the last few years, it’s great to get back out to play some songs together on a summer’s day in London. Hope to see you there.”

Since the band went their separate ways, each have gone on to enjoy varied careers. Albarn has enjoyed a successful solo career massive kudos with virtual group Gorillaz; Coxon became a painter; James became a cheese maker, while Rowntree was a Labour Party councillor on Norfolk County Council from 2017 to 2021.
