Britain’s Got Talent 2024 Winner ‘Revealed’ as Standout Act Emerges

Sydnie Christmas – The Current Favourite

The winner of Britain’s Got Talent may have just been ‘revealed’ as the standout act tears away from other finalists. Tonight will see the live final of the long-running ITV variety competition. London based singer Sydnie Christmas stands as the current favourite to win BGT. She dazzled audiences with her rendition of Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ in the semi-finals.

Sydnie’s Journey to Victory

Eleven acts will take to the stage once again to compete for a space in the Royal Variety Performance. But it seems that a winner could well be in sight on the seventeenth instalment of Britain’s Got Talent. Singer Sydnie Christmas currently stands as the ‘overwhelming favourite’ to be crowned the champion. The london-based star wowed with her first audition as she sang a heartfelt rendition of the track ‘Tomorrow’ from Annie. Reaction to her performance by the London Palladium audience was so intense, Amanda Holden couldn’t help but slam her hands on the golden buzzer.

Final Countdown for Sydnie

After she was sent straight through to the semi-finals she once again wowed with her version of Frank Sinatra’s iconic hit ‘My Way’. She once again had Amanda, 53, in tears as she received a standing ovation from the judges and the Eventim Apollo audience. When it came down to revealing the acts going through to the final, she won the public vote to send her through to the grand final. Tonight, the singer is set to take to the stage once again, this time with her own original song titled ‘I’ll Go Home.’ According to the latest odds, she sits as the current favourite to be crowned as the champion.

Expert Predictions and Odds

An expert explained it would ‘take something pretty special to stop her’ as odds at her victory currently stand at 2/5. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes explained: “We’ve seen some sensational acts along the way, but it all boils down to tonight’s final, where the odds suggest it’s going to take something pretty special to stop Sydnie Christmas from winning the series.” Comedian Alex Mitchell stands with the second highest odds at 4/1 as dance-duo Abigail and Afronitaa sit at 7/1.

The Underdogs

Every other act stands at 12/1 or higher whilst choir Northants Sings Out and magician Trixy head into the final as outsiders with odds at 66/1. However, even though jump rope group Haribow stand at odds of 33/1, fans have praised them all throughout the competition. When they first auditioned, the Japanese group declared, “We’re here to win,” despite a gruelling 20-hour journey. After dazzling on stage, Amanda’s daughter Hollie and Simon’s son Eric got up from their seats, sending the crowd into a frenzy as they pressed the golden buzzer. In their semi-final, the judges went into deadlock after they faced a tough choice between Ravi’s Dream Team choir and the small troupe.

Final Odds and Predictions

Head judge Simon refused to make the final decision but it was soon revealed that Haribow had secured second place in the public vote. Sunday night will see Ant and Dec front the live final of the seventeenth series of Britain’s got Talent. But who will win? According to Ladbrokes the odds stand as the following:
