According to authorities, a 15-year-old boy from Alaska shot and killed three siblings before taking his own life.

Officials stated that state troopers discovered the horrifying discovery after responding in an emergency to shots fired in a Fairbanks residence.

According to an Alaska State Troopers statement, four bodies were found inside the house with gunshot wounds.

The statement stated that investigators concluded the teen boy shot himself. The boy believed to have killed his three siblings were aged 5-8 and 17 years, troopers stated.

Troopers stated that three other siblings were present in the home and were not seriously injured. Their parents were not home at the time of the shootings, the statement said.

Troopers stated that an investigation was ongoing and that the children’s service had been notified. The bodies of the siblings have been transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsies, the statement said.
