A recent conversation with PeoplePanettiere shared that she had secretly struggled with her addictions for years. Panettiere, 32 years old, was struggling with postpartum depression. She shared this with us:
I was the best in the world, and then I destroyed it. It would seem that I had reached rock bottom. But then, there is the trap door that opens.
Hayden Panettiere explained that her body developed a dependency on alcohol. She used to drink the shakes and then go back to bed. She was given pills by a member of her team to help her be more alert during red carpet interviews. While Panettiere seemed to have it all when she was a young star, her secret struggles were not so obvious.
This might be a surprise to even Hayden Panettiere’s most loyal fans, as the actress has continued working throughout her life.
