Namibia is dry and dusty because of intense sun and wind. However, once-in a-decade rain transformed Namibia into a green oasis. This was what I captured on a 5,600 mile road trip.
Namibia’s national parks cover about 17%, making it home to stunning scenery. It can be hard to see the beauty in Namibia’s desert landscape, but it transforms when it rains, which occurs once every ten years.
Together with three other photographers we packed into a 4×4 in order to photograph the red dunes, grassy Savannas and 3,000-year old baobab trees.
