Jacob Soboroff, the TODAY show fill-in who replaced Savannah Guthrie on Monday mornings, accidentally disclosed that Carson Daly and Savannah Guthrie were dropped from their key host roles during Savannah’s absence.
Jacob, 40 years old, shared a look behind the scenes of Today. Savannah, 52, and Carson 50 were also left out.
Today’s sub-section posted a video of the panel for setting up microphones.
Savannah and Carson are not listed in the control panel.
Jacob explained that: “This is where @tmazzarelli or @petebreen will push the button to get me to stop speaking.”
The NBC News correspondent was with various hosts while they were on their summer break.

Savannah and Carson were both on holiday during the past week.
Carson has not appeared on the morning show since August 11.
Additionally, Savannah had been out sick and Hoda Kotb, 59, had said she was taking some time off for that reason.
Savannah was clamoring to return but no official date has been set yet.

Savannah’s Instagram account hasn’t been updated with any information about her vacation or health, but she did wish her 69-year-old cohost Al Roker a Happy Birthday.
She gave a shout out to her 41-year-old co-host Jenna Bush Hager for the cover story she wrote for People.
Carson is even less active now on social media.
He posted his most recent blog post three weeks back, where he raised mental health awareness.
Carson addressed the issue at Harvard, and said “Let us continue the effort to help those suffering in silence.”
Today’s host, John Oliver, has not indicated when he will return.
