Star Wars Fans Will Love Han Solo Bread Sculpture

A life-size, dough-ified version of Harrison Ford’s Han Solo, carbonite-encasedStarting at “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back”A bakery in San Francisco Bay Area has created this masterpiece and it is appropriately named “Pan Solo.”

Hanalee Pervan, owner of One House Bakery, and Catherine Pervan her mother spent a month crafting the uncanny look out of dead dough. This is yeastless, and is often used for baked goods such as strudels.

Displayed outside of their Benicia, California, shop, Hanalee (who served as the sculpture’s model) told the New York Times, “People are just super interested by it, and you see people smelling it and poking it and they’re just like, ‘What is going on?’ They kind of don’t believe you that it’s made out of dough.”

But this isn’t the mother-daughter duo’s first foray into punny breaded sculptures of pop culture significance: In 2018, their inaugural year, there was the “Game of Scones,”It featured a White Walker, made of dough and not ice, and a matching royal chair made of baguettes. One could argue that it was still an iron rich throne!

Two years later they created carb-y spoofs. “The Mandalorian,”The following features are available: “Pain-dough-lorian,”made of breaded armor “Baby Dough-Da”Wear it with bread “the Pandroid,”They were made up of kitchen tools and pans. They continued their tradition by making “Dough-ki” last year, an alligator made of bread that was no less menacing than the real thing, which paid homage to Marvel’s “Loki” and the eponymous character’s alligator variant.

Hanalee stated that Hanalee is a crafter “Pan Solo”Her experience was special because she lost much of her senses and taste abilities after suffering COVID in January 2021.

“So just to find joy in a different part of food is really important,”She spoke.
