News broke around a week earlier that 16 and PregnantStar Jordan Cashmyer was 26 years old when he died.. At the time of the former MTV star’s passing, her cause of death had not been confirmed. However, her family has now spoken up about addictions, Jordan’s little one and more to make sure her story is heard.
In an update, Jordan Cashmyer’s father, Dennis, is trying to raise money Through social media channels both as a memorial for his daughter, but also to set up a care plan for the reality star’s daughter, Lyla, who is only six months old. While Dennis Cashmyer did not get into the details surrounding Jordan’s death, he did open up about addiction and how it had been “plaguing”His family and so many others around the globe, including the United States, were there to support him.
Many families are affected by addiction, and our family was no exception. Jordan was full of life and personality. She was always a smiler and had a way to make everyone around her laugh. Our family is saddened and we will always miss Jordan. The grim reality is that the granddaughter we have raised will never make memories with her mother and father. Lyla lost her father to addiction at two months & now her mother at six months.
Dennis Cashmyer expressed concern about not being ready to “start over”He takes on the responsibility of caring for another baby, even though Lyla is his. “saving grace” “greatest joy and addition.” The family is looking to raise $15,000 in donations in order to move forward after their daughter’s death. Dennis Cashmyer had previously spoken out about the death her oldest child. Facebook, noting she’d gotten a “call no parent ever wants.”She also shared the following:

In 2014, Jordan Cashmyer was a television personality. She was only a teenager when she began her TV career. Her story featured Derek Taylor, her boyfriend at the time, and their journey to get pregnant before Evie was born. She also spoke out about how she didn’t regret her daughterAlthough she was happy to get pregnant, she regretted it. Cashmyer dated Michael Frank Schaffer in January 2021, after she broke up with Taylor. Lyla was born That was June of the same year.
Tragically Schaffer passed away in September 2021 due to what we now believe was an addiction-related reason. Their families are in our thoughts and prayers as they handle Lyla’s caregiving duties as well as recent losses.
