“We’re prepared to take out response to the next level in addressing the virus,”Xavier Becerra, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, spoke during a briefing.

“We urge every American to take monkeypox seriously and to take responsibility to help us tackle this virus.”

This announcement comes after similar decisions made by health officials in New York, California and Illinois.

US health officials are trying to find a way for more monkeypox treatment and vaccines. This is due to the limited supply of Junennos vaccine, which was approved by FDA.

Federal officials identified more than 1 million people at high risk of monkeypox. However, the US has not received enough Jyennos to cover 550,000 people.

Since the May 17th detection of the first case, over 6,600 cases have been confirmed.

Experts in the US recently revealed that four of these cases were children, warning of the spread of the disease. “high risk” for kids under eight.

New York has been struck the hardest with 1,666 confirmed cases, followed by California with 826, Illinois with 547, and Florida with 525.

The illness can be contracted by anyone, but it is more common if someone has been in close contact with or sexually abused by someone who has the symptoms.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published New guidance about how to identify monkeypox during the current outbreak, which was declared a global emergency by the World Health Organization on Sunday.

Monkeypox has been a common condition in which people have experienced a fever, swelling lymph nodes and headaches, as well as muscle aches.

These symptoms can be followed by a rash, which starts on the skin or lips and spreads to other areas of the body, especially the hands and feet.

Recent cases have shown a slight rash around the genitals and mouth.

Some patients had localized or scattered lesions, rather than widespread rashes.

Sometimes, flu-like symptoms can develop after the rash. However, other people don’t experience these symptoms.

Scientists warn of unusual symptoms in patients in the United States that are not normally associated with the virus.

Patients have reported experiencing pain in the anus, rectum and rectal, as well as rectal bleeding, proctitis, or the sensation of having to go to the bathroom even though their bowels are empty.

Monkeypox, which is part of the same virus family that smallpox, is quite common in western and central Africa.

According to the World Health Organization, monkeypox can be treated in a matter of weeks. However, the disease can prove fatal for 1 out 10 people.
