And when <em>folklore<\/em> won Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammys, Alwyn\u2014who co-wrote and co-produced songs &#8220;betty&#8221; and &#8220;exile&#8221; under the\u00a0pseudonym <strong>William Bowery<\/strong>\u2014scored a trophy.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That was a surreal bonus of lockdown,&#8221; he told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/tv-and-radio\/2022\/apr\/30\/joe-alwyn-conversations-with-friends-sex-scenes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Guardian<\/a><\/em> in a new interview. &#8220;That&#8217;s an understatement.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>As\u00a0Alwyn\u00a0explained to the outlet, he and Swift hadn&#8217;t planned on\u00a0working together, it came about organically. &#8220;It wasn&#8217;t like, &#8216;It&#8217;s\u00a05 o&#8217;clock, it&#8217;s time to try and write a song together,'&#8221; he shared. &#8220;It came about from messing around on a piano, and singing badly, then being overheard, and being, like, &#8216;Let&#8217;s see what happens if we get to the end of it together.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This isn&#8217;t folklore: Joe Alwyn\u00a0is a Grammy winner.
