The following contains spoilers for <\/strong><em><strong>The Masked Singer <\/strong><\/em><strong>Season 7 episode \u201cThe Mask Of Least Resistance.\u201d Read at your own risk!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Masked Singer<\/strong><\/em> Season 7 has <u>eliminated a lot of contestants already this year<\/u>, though outside of a few notable eliminations <u>like the NFL\u2019s <\/u><u><strong>Jordan Mailata<\/strong><\/u> and the <u>crushing elimination of <\/u><u><strong>Jennifer Holiday<\/strong><\/u>, most were deserved. It\u2019s going to take a special talent to topple the <strong>Ringmaster<\/strong>, and I believe we\u2019ve finally found a worthy contestant who can pull it off. The <strong>Prince<\/strong> has had some awesome performances as of late, and I\u2019m thinking he has a real shot at becoming the new frontrunner who might win it all.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"><\/aside>\n<p>I had a feeling when Prince easily handled <strong>Ricky Martin<\/strong>\u2019s \u201cLa Copa de la Vida\u201d that he had something special to bring to <em>The Masked Singer<\/em>.\u00a0The latest performance solidified that when he breezed through a rendition of \u00a0\u201cLay Me Down\u201d by <strong>Sam Smith<\/strong>, which is not an easy song to sing. It\u2019s one thing to knock a song out of the park, but quite another to masterfully perform a song with that many sustained high notes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the very least, it feels clear to me that Prince is someone with an accomplished singing background. Whether that\u2019s true or not, I think he has what it takes to give Ringmaster, who also seems to have some musical chops, a run for her money.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I should admit I\u2019m a bit biased for Prince and say I\u2019m pulling for him mainly because the Ringmaster <u>costume is terrifying to me<\/u>. Beyond that, though, those with a <u>Hulu subscription<\/u> who revisit their past performances will see that these two contestants are both in a league of their own compared to other contestants (like <strong>Baby Mammoth,<\/strong> who was unmasked as <strong>Kirstie Alley<\/strong>) and are currently my frontrunners for the last two standing in the finale. No disrespect to <u>the dramatic <\/u><u><strong>Firefly<\/strong><\/u>, but I\u2019m not sure she\u2019ll be able to outlast either competitor should they all meet in the late stages of the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Of course, there\u2019s still no guarantee the Final 3 of <em>The Masked Singer <\/em>Season 7 is locked down just yet. In fact, I think it\u2019s fair to say that Group C is the most talented group yet, as <strong>Queen Cobra<\/strong> and <strong>Space Bunny<\/strong> are both also very skilled singers. Either one of them could stun audiences and end up sending Prince home in an upset, and we\u2019d still get a satisfying final round with either competitor in the mix. That said, I\u2019m not sure they\u2019d have a shot at beating Ringmaster if she\u2019s in the finale, but stranger things have happened!<\/p>\n<p><em>The Masked Singer<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox.com\/the-masked-singer\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/www.fox.com\/the-masked-singer\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>airs on Fox<\/u><\/a> on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET.
