Bennett has had an unprecedented career that has affected many people and earned him a whopping 19\u00a0Grammy Awards\u00a0including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Bennett has been surrounded by the woman he loves for more than 40 years. So, who is Tony Bennett\u2019s wife, Susan Crow?<\/p>\n

Tony Bennett was married to a much younger woman, as it is with many Hollywood stars. Susan Crow is almost 40 years older than her husband. They met when she was 19 and he was at age 58.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Bennett, who was nearly 60 at the time of their meeting, had been in some serious relationships. In 1952, Bennett married Patricia Ann Beech. They had two children together and enjoyed a long marriage that ended in divorce in 1971. He married Sandra Grant, an actress, later that year. They had two kids and were divorced in 1979. After Bennett\u2019s Grant Divorce<\/a>Susan Crow was his late concert guest. \u201880s. Even though they had a massive age gap, the two definitely didn\u2019Don’t rush<\/a>You can do anything. After dating for twenty years, they tied the knot in private ceremony in 2007.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Crow has since taken Bennett\u2019s real last name, Benedetto, as her married name. Crow was a teacher during her younger years. Bennett and Crow shared their passions and founded a non-profit in 1999. The organization was called Explore the Arts<\/a>Public school students have the opportunity to learn about the arts through his work. It\u2019s the perfect marriage between their two loves: education and the Performing arts<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Susan is an inspiration for anyone with a major celebrity crush. She was able to get hers to put on a ring. She was actually a member of the fan club before she met her future husband. The group was known as the \u2018Tonymaniacs.\u2019According to AARP<\/a>, \u201c[Susan] came by her fascination honestly, given that her mother, Marion, was also a longtime fan- indeed, one of the original \u2018Tonymaniacs,\u2019 the army of teenage bobby-soxers who, at the dawn of the 1950s, fueled Tony\u2019s first taste of fame.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Not only was Susan\u2019s mother, in fact, a founding member of the \u2018Tonymaniacs,\u2019Bennett actually took a photo of her backstage during one of his shows, when she was still pregnant with Susan. In his book<\/a>, Get Started <\/em>Tony calls the photo, which they took together. \u201ca photo we all laugh about, knowing the incredible turn of events that followed.\u201d<\/p>\n

She Is Also Tony\u2019s Primary Caregiver As He Battles Alzheimer\u2019s<\/strong><\/h2>\n

In 2016, Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s disease. While Bennett hasn\u2019t (and may never) experienced many severe symptoms of the disease, Alzheimer\u2019s has still taken its toll on the star. Bennett\u2019s diagnosis wasn\u2019t revealed to the public Up to a 2021 profile of the AARP<\/a>. According to the profile, \u200b\u200bwhen Bennett looked at a picture book with photos of him in his youth, \u201che stared into its pages not with the air of warm reminiscence but like a man struggling to recall why these images seemed familiar.\u201d<\/p>\n

On November 28th, 2021, Bennett\u2019s final concert, One last time<\/em>It was first broadcast on television. The concert was recorded at Radio City Music Hall. His long career is remembered in this tribute<\/a>. Even though his days of performing may be over, Bennett isn\u2019t going to stop singing. \u201cSinging is everything to him,\u201d Crow speaks out about her husband<\/a>. \u201cThere\u2019s a lot about him that I miss. Because he\u2019s not the old Tony anymore. But when he sings, he\u2019s the old Tony.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bennett is fortunate to have his wife by his side every step of the way. Crow has assumed the responsibility of taking care Bennett’s illness. And, she is more than happy with her new gig as her favorite singer\u2019s caretaker. In Crow\u2019s words, \u201cAccording to his doctor, there\u2019s no reason to think that he will drastically decline\u2026 Obviously, I\u2019m his wife. I signed up for better or for worse. If somebody has to take care of him, I want it to be me.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Still, Crow\u2019s admiration for her husband and all that he does hasn\u2019t waned since her days in his fan club.
