Sanjay Das was the previous CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Mundell previously served as the executive producer and Head Of Production at the studio. He was responsible for overseeing operations and producing large-scale productions.\u00a0The expert in pipelines and software for production also previously co-founded Berkeley\u2019s Loft Software\u2014a company building asset control tools for global real-time film, games and commercial production\u2014and served as its CEO. He is the founder of Southpawtech\/TACTIC digital asset management system and open-source workflow platform Southpawtech\/TACTIC. He also supported the development and creation of Maya at Alias\/Wavefront computer graphics application.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGary Mundell has filled a position sorely needed at my company,\u201dTippett. \u201cIn the short time he\u2019s been here, he\u2019s implemented practices that have improved the studio immensely. Tippett\u2019s animation is the best in the business and I feel right at home at the studio.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tippett is an animator, filmmaker and artist behind iconic characters such as Jabba The Hut and Rancor Monster. <em>Return of the Jedi<\/em>, The Tauntauns and Wampa <em>The Empire Strikes back<\/em>The Raptor and T-Rex are stop-motion puppets. <em>Jurassic Park<\/em>, and the ED-209 <em>Robocop<\/em>. His experimental animated pic\u00a0<em>Mad God<\/em> last year\u00a0made its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival and was showcased at others including the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the Fantasia Film Festival and the Sitges Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>Recent projects from Tippett\u2019s full-service animation and visual effects production company\u00a0include the second season of Disney+\u2019s <em>Mandalorian<\/em>, the second season of Netflix\u2019s<em> Locke &amp; Key<\/em> and Marvel Studio\u2019s <em>The Falcon and Winter Soldier<\/em>.
