The dismembered human\u00a0remains found floating on a Florida\u00a0beach last week have\u00a0been identified as belonging to Stephanie Crone-Overholts, a Florida mom who loved motorcycles and crafting, according to her Facebook page.<\/p>\n
The 47-year-old woman who had recently relocated to the sunshine state from Pennsylvania\u00a0had not been reported missing,\u00a0Oxygen reported.<\/a><\/p>\n On Saturday, the medical examiner confirmed that Crone-Overholts’ death was ruled a homicide, Tampa Bay Public Information Officer Rose Angelakopoulos told Digital<\/p>\n Crone-Overholts’ older son Sean told FOX 13 that he and his family are “devastated.”<\/p>\n \u201cThis has been a living nightmare.\u00a0It is unimaginable what she went through,” Sean said.\u00a0“My mother will be deeply missed.\u201d<\/p>\n On Nov. 11, a local fisherman made the\u00a0grim discovery after finding\u00a0a woman\u2019s leg on McKay Beach, in the area of 22nd Causeway Bridge, and immediately contacted police,\u00a0\u00a0FOX 4 News reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n Police later confirmed that the bone the fisherman found was from a human, the news outlet reported. The\u00a0Tampa Police Department (TPD) released an image of the body part, which\u00a0had a\u00a0tattoo of\u00a0three hearts with a ribbon around each with the names\u00a0Sean, Greg, and Zach, and asked anyone who recognized\u00a0the tattoo to contact police, according to a release by Tampa Police Department.<\/a><\/p>\n Officials said the next day additional body parts were found by witnesses in the same area,\u00a0the release said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Last week, Crone-Overholts’\u00a0vehicle, a 2008 silver Hyundai Elantra with Pennsylvania tags was located.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile no one involved has been identified, investigators believe the car\u00a0may be involved in the case involving the body parts located in McKay Bay,\u201d the TPD release said.\u00a0<\/p>\n At this time, no arrests or potential subjects have been identified. The investigation is still ongoing, the police said, according to the release.\u00a0<\/p>\n Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is also involved and has\u00a0offered a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of suspects.\u00a0<\/p>\n Crone-Overholts grew up and attended school in Erie, Pennsylvania, and had worked at Harley-Davidson there, Fox 13 reported.<\/p>\n
