It seemed to be a great movie. <u>You are ready for the sequel<\/u>It was, but it is starting to feel more like wishful thinking. Hiram Garcia, producer, spoke out about The Rock-led film and whether it is possible to make it happen.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It almost sounds like ideas are still being tossed around in relation to this topic. <em>San Andreas 2<\/em>, as producer Hiram Garcia did tell <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/san-andreas-2-sequel-ideas-explained-hiram-garcia\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/san-andreas-2-sequel-ideas-explained-hiram-garcia\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>Screenrant<\/u><\/a>They are \u201cworking hard\u201dTo crack another story in that space. He also said that the original movie&#8217;s studio and production companies are still interested.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We have many ideas. We are currently working on a plan to continue this story. You see, disaster movies are great fun and that was a great idea. Beau Flynn, our friend, came up with the idea to be like &#8220;You know what?&#8221; You love disaster movies. I love disaster movies. Warners and New Line have wanted a sequel. We&#8217;ve been trying to find a way to crack that space. However, we would love to continue the story in this world. And I agree with you, there&#8217;s something to just the big cataclysmic\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"><\/aside>\n<p><em>San Andreas 2<\/em> would \u00a0make sense on a lot of levels. The film was a success at the box offices, with $473K in revenue on a $110,000 budget prior to advertising. The Rock is still very much in demand, and his chemistry with the actors in the movie works. Although there were some snarky comments made about the film, and it may not have handled earthquake-related issues accurately every time, the movie was still a popular disaster flick.<\/p>\n<p>Dwayne Johnson&#8217;s popularity in Hollywood has been the main obstacle to sequels in the past. He is currently working on a sequel. <em>Jungle Cruise<\/em>Greenlighted, and many other upcoming movies in development, including his DC debut. <em>Black Adam<\/em>And more. The second challenge mentioned was: It is important to ensure that <em>San Andreas 2<\/em>It does more than just repeat the plot of the first film.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Hiram Garcia touched on who he\u2019d personally like to see locked in as a director on the sequel. It was interesting to note that while <em>Rampage<\/em>Brad Peyton, the director, was the one responsible for the direction <em>San Andreas<\/em>If the sequel gets greenlit, it looks like the team could be the master of disaster.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Roland Emmerich seems to be the master of this. While no one wants the world to end, we would like to take some pieces and see what else we can do. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Roland Emmerich, currently busy with promotion for his Halle Berry flick <em>Moonfall<\/em>He might be persuaded to take part in a sequel.
