Full integration of Prime Video on Movistar Plus\u2019 home page will be completed by Nov. 24.<\/p>\n<p>Via the new deal, Amazon Prime Video is joining Netflix, Disney Plus, DAZN as well as Spain\u2019s LaLigaSports TV, Atresplayer Premium and Mitele on Movistar Plus as Telefonica pay TV unit Movistar Plus drives to consolidate as the No. 1 home entertainment gatekeeper in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy incorporating Prime Video, we continue to provide our clients with the best offering, including both our own original content, and that from third parties,\u201d said Movistar Plus CEO Cristina Burzako. \u201cWe also provide the most comfortable and easy to use consumer experience through a single access point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to offer the Prime Video experience to Movistar Plus customers throughout Spain,\u201dBarry Furlong, Vice President of Prime Video Europe, added the following: \u201cOur goal is to expand our wide catalog of original and exclusive Amazon productions to a wide audience and Movistar Plus is a great partner to get closer to that goal.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Movistar Plus customers can now access a catalogue that includes international titles, such as \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel\u201dFleabag, with strong Spanish productions and mixing high-end productions. \u201cEL Cid\u201dMultiple soccer titles available \u201cThe Legend of Sergio Ramos\u201dTo \u201cMaradona: Blessed Dream.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Amazon, the agreement places it in an avid series\/movie consumer environment \u2013 Movistar Plus\u2019 pay TV clients watch more OTT titles on average than direct OTT service subscribers \u2013 and allowing APV to be accessed easily on TV screens.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Spain\u2019s Movistar Plus, the top Spanish pay TV player, announced Thursday that it has signed a carriage deal with Amazon Prime Video.
