A 1-star \u201cdidn\u2019t-we-do-well<\/a>\u201dNetflix is the lap of honor Tiger King\u2019s<\/em>Joe Exotic is back this time \u201cfrom a cage of his own<\/a>.\u201d These are just some of the reactions to the superfluous new season of what\u2019s arguably the most jaw-dropping and totally bonkers of all of Netflix\u2019s original series.<\/p>\n

Was there anything more we could have? Tiger King<\/em>What is absurdity in your life? It’s not. Netflix has however released a brand new season. And it\u2019s now available to stream for all subscribers. For those of you who, you know, didn\u2019t get enough of one of the wildest stories ever told via this streaming platform the first time around.<\/p>\n

It is almost certain This new season features five episodes<\/a> that Netflix dropped on Wednesday won\u2019t match the ubiquitous pop-culture resonance that Season 1 enjoyed. This was one of those rare things that came at the perfect time. We were all going through the COVID lockdowns. At least, there was this story of the crazy tiger man to captivate everyone \u2014 for a little while.<\/p>\n

Is there a plot to murder Joe Exotic?<\/h2>\n

Spoiler alert: In case you’re interested in the new season of, Tiger King<\/em>.<\/p>\n

According to USA Today<\/em><\/a>, the most shocking of the new season\u2019s reveals is someone claiming in an affidavit that there was a plan at one point to kill the Tiger King himself. One of the alleged perpetrators tells Exotic\u2019s attorney: \u201cI was gonna have Joe\u2019s head cut the (expletive) off. Nobody knows about what me and Jeff had planned.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWas Jeff gonna pay you if Joe died?\u201dThe attorney will ask.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t have to work no more,\u201dThis is the answer.<\/p>\n

In USA Today\u2019s<\/em>He continues to recount the story: \u201cWe came up with a plan to decapitate Joe\u2019s head, to kill him, to clear him away from the property so Jeff could take it over, animals and everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

As if there wasn\u2019t enough weirdness already, meanwhile, ahead of the new season an unverified Twitter account purporting to be Exotic\u2019s called on Cardi B, of all people, to help him win release from jail. \u201cWhen you see the truth in Tiger King 2<\/em> I need you to rally everyone together to be my voice of freedom! Be my hero girl,\u201dA handwritten note was posted in a tweet that the account sent recently.<\/p>\n

In response to Cardi tweeting back, wondering whether this was indeed the man himself, Exotic\u2019s lawyer John Michael Phillips responded to the singer With a tweet of his very own<\/a>. \u201cI represent Joe. He heard about your message from prison. I\u2019d love to put you two together on a phone call next week.\u201d<\/p>\n
