Does Gran Turismo have a post-credits sequence? Is it true to life? HITC investigates.<\/strong><\/p>\n Neill Blomkamp has established himself as a new and exciting voice in the science fiction cinema. His 2009 film District 9 was followed by Elysium, Chappie and other films. He has now made a genre shift and is racing towards the finish on Gran Turismo. The sports drama stars David Harbour, Orlando Bloom Darren Barnet. This film, which was only released on Friday August 11th in a small number of theaters, appeals both to fans and novices alike. Before heading in, on the other hand, you\u2019ll want to know if Gran Turismo has a post-credits scene and whether it\u2019s based on a true story.<\/p>\n Gran Turismo doesn\u2019t have a post-credits scene that continues the story of the central character Jann Mardenborough (played by Archie Madekwe).<\/p>\n However, there is some additional footage that\u2019s removed from the events of the film. Gran Turismo started out as a PlayStation video game developed by Polyphony Digital. The franchise was launched in 1997.<\/p>\n Kazunori Yamauchi created it, and in the film credits you see footage of his and his team working to make the game which would become an instant hit.<\/p>\n It\u2019s also worth acknowledging that Kazunori appears in the movie, but is played by Takehiro Hira rather than himself.<\/p>\n Gran Turismo was inspired by the real-life story of Jann. He had been a very skilled Gran Turismo driver who, after winning a series of video games competitions, began his career as a race car professional.<\/p>\n The 31-year-old British talent became the third\u2014and the youngest\u2014winner of the GT Academy competition, winning a drive for Nissan at the Dubai 24-Hour race, as the automobile manufacturer was sponsoring the contest.<\/p>\n He was a first-time motorsport competitor.<\/p>\n There are some differences between the story in the movie and the true-life event. For example, the film suggests he was the first winner of the GT Academy, which wasn\u2019t the case. Lucas Ord\u00f3\u00f1ez won it first.<\/p>\n Stranger Things\u2019 David may be in the movie, but it turns out that Gran Turismo would never be his game of choice, so to speak.<\/p>\nDoes Gran Turismo have a post-credits?<\/h2>\n
