A homeowner who was unable to clean his house asked Reddit for the inside scoop on what everyone does wrong.<\/p>\n

One professional answered with a smile.<\/p>\n

In response to the comments, she revealed seven things that people should do at home.<\/p>\n

List the Common Errors, She Wrote: <\/p>\n

  1. Cleaning from top to bottom<\/li>\n
  2. The wrong products can damage marble and stones.<\/li>\n
  3. Avoid cleaning the top, sides and underside of furniture<\/li>\n
  4. It is a bad idea to clean the exhaust fans’ filters.<\/li>\n
  5. Using products or scrubbing methods that are too harsh can damage the item instead of cleaning it. <\/li>\n
  6. The cloths are not washed often enough<\/li>\n
  7. Use of a sponge that is not designated for the toilet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Her fellow professionals joined in to support and add a few tips.<\/p>\n

    Commenting on the thread, one said: \u201cYou have to clean more than just the front facing surfaces of things. When is the last time you cleaned the top edge of your refrigerator door?\u201d<\/p>\n

    Another added: \u201cStuffing smaller items inside larger ones is not really cleaning or organising.\u00a0<\/p>\n
