KAYLIN Gillis, a woman from Hebron in New York was shot dead after her boyfriend mistakenly pulled into the wrong driveway.<\/p>\n

Blake Walsh, Gillis’ boyfriend, spoke out after the incident and described what her final moments were like. <\/p>\n

On the day Gillis’s murder, he was driving a Ford Explorer. <\/p>\n

Gillis, Walsh and two other people were searching for the house of a friend when they accidently pulled into the incorrect driveway. <\/p>\n

Walsh is not well-known for his personal life. He is, however, allegedly from Cambridge, New York.<\/p>\n

Blake Walsh’s comment on Kaylin Gillian’s death <\/h2>\n

Exclusive Interview with NBC News<\/a>Walsh remembered the events leading to Gillis\u2019 death, and the pain he has felt ever since. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe thought we were at the right address,\u201d Walsh explained. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t have any cell service to figure it out. As soon as we figured it out that we were at the wrong location, we started to leave, and that\u2019s when everything happened.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cMy friend said, \u2018They\u2019re shooting \u2014 go!\u2019 I tried to step on the gas as fast as I could, and that\u2019s when the fatal shot came through.<\/p>\n

“I’d like to believe that it was instant. I\u2019m hoping it was. I\u2019m praying it was,” he added. <\/p>\n

The group drove five miles and then called 911, but Gillis was already dead. <\/p>\n

\u201cI had high hopes, and I had plans,\u201d Walsh said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t want to be with anybody else, and I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want the world to know how good of a person she really was and how much she impacted everybody who had the fortunate opportunity to be in her life,” he continued, adding that he\u2019ll miss \u201cher smile,\u201d \u201cher eyes\u201d and \u201chow happy she was able to make me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy world was taken from me,” Walsh said. <\/p>\n

It was a similar attack to that of Ralph Yarl (16), who had been shot just a few days earlier. <\/p>\n

Yarl was ultimately shot twice\u00a0after\u00a0ringing the wrong doorbell\u00a0in Kansas City,\u00a0Missouri.<\/p>\n

Kaylin Gilles was killed by a gunman. <\/h2>\n

Kevin Monahan, a man accused of second-degree murder was arrested by authorities after an extensive investigation. <\/p>\n

The man has now been charged with firing the fatal gunshot that killed Gillis.<\/p>\n

He entered a not guilty plea on the 16th of April 2023.<\/p>\n

Monahan\u2019s lawyer Kurt Mausert has claimed there was a \u201cnumber of mistakes\u201d that lead to the death. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have a victim and a tragedy, the thing everyone wants is a villain, but not every time there\u2019s a victim and tragedy is there a villain,\u201d he said, via NBC News. <\/p>\n
