Jessica Simpson doesn\u2019t do much acting these days, but a recent Instagram post has some of her fans reminiscing about her Hollywood days. More specifically, her role as Daisy Duke in 2005\u2019s The Dukes Of Hazzard<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cPop a Sidewalk Squat,\u201dSimpson captioned a picture she took wearing a black-andwhite striped sweater, matching cowboy boot and Daisy Duke cutoff shorts. These shorts are a nod at one of her greatest movie roles.\u00a0<\/p>\n Simpson played the iconic character, who became famous for her short shorts, in a movie version of the classic \u201980s show of the same name. The original TV series premiered in 1979 and starred Catherine Bach as Daisy, the Duke boys\u2019 beautiful cousin.<\/p>\n The Dukes Of Hazzard<\/em>, starring Johnny Knoxville, Seann William Scott, Willie Nelson, and Burt Reynolds, was Simpson\u2019s acting debut. Although the film was commercially successful it wasn’t a huge hit with critics. She was nominated by MTV Movie Award as Sexiest Performance. Another comment, \u201cthese boots are made for walking\u2026.\u201dThis is a reference to the song Simpson composed for the movie.\u00a0<\/p>\n Simpson recorded a cover of Nancy Sinatra\u2019s \u201cThese Boots Are Made For Walkin\u2019\u201dSpotify boasts more than 10 million Spotify streams.
