You may remember her as the floating crystal ball that\u2019s part of the spooky ride in Disneyland and Disney World, as well as being played by Jennifer Tilly in 2003\u2019s <em>The Haunted Mansion.<\/em>The <em>Halloween <\/em>Star described the humor and spookiness that we can expect from the new Disney movie.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the 63-year old actress is done. <u>Her \u201csatisfying\u201dLaurie Strode is your role model in the <\/u><u><em>Halloween<\/em><\/u><u> series.<\/u>While running <u>Her most memorable films<\/u>Jamie Lee Curtis revealed this in an interview. <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/jamie-lee-curtis-haunted-mansion-disney-movie-yummy\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/movies\/jamie-lee-curtis-haunted-mansion-disney-movie-yummy\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>EW<\/u><\/a>Interview What to Expect in the Interview<em>Haunted Mansion <\/em>reboot, saying:<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s contemporary, fresh, old-fashioned and scary but not frightening like a movie about a monster. It&#8217;s funny and scary, just like a Disney ride. You will find humor along with the frightening, ghostly stuff if you take that ride. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"><\/aside>\n<p>I\u2019m sure it\u2019s refreshing to her to be in a Disney-fied scary movie that doesn\u2019t involve running away from a knife-wielding killer. This interview shows Jamie Lee Curtis&#8217; pride in the movie. \u201cyummy\u201d creation the film\u2019s director, <em>Dear White People<\/em>\u2019s Justin Simien, came up with. She loved the &#8220;beautiful&#8221;Jeffrey Kurland, Academy Award-nominated Costume Designer, created the costumes. This makes me even more excited for the future. <em>Exchange of Places<\/em>As the clairvoyant crystal balls, actress will look.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><u>Here are some quick facts about the new <\/u><u><em>Haunted Mansion <\/em><\/u><u>Movie<\/u> is that we\u2019ll get a star-studded cast. <u>Its first stars revealed<\/u> were <em>Dopesick<\/em>\u2019s Rosario Dawson and <em>Loki<\/em>\u2019s Owen Wilson. Then, <em>Night School<\/em>\u2019s Tiffany Haddish, <em>Knives out<\/em>\u2019s LaKeith Stanfield and <em>Twins<\/em>Danny Devito joined the cast. This remake will have a completely different story than the 2003 Disney version. Rosario Dawson plays a mother who attempts to exorcize a New Orleans house from ghosts. Originally, <em>Nightmare Alley<\/em>\u2019s <u>Guillermo Del Toro would be planning his own.<\/u> \u201ctruly scary\u201dadaptation was its author, but plans fell apart when Katie Dippold became involved <u>Tap to write the <\/u><u><em>Haunted Mansion<\/em><\/u><u>script<\/u> after Del Toro\u2019s was considered too scary for a family audience. I\u2019d have to agree considering Disney films today are often aimed at a younger audience compared to before.<\/p>\n<p>Disney\u2019s previous Haunted Mansion-based film starring Eddie Murphy did well at the box office, but got mediocre reviews, with a current 14% on Rotten Tomatoes. So it\u2019s good that the reboot film will be going in a completely different direction plot-wise. The <em>Pirates of the Caribbean <\/em>Movies were the only Disney films based on a Disney park attraction.
