The beloved actor, who played the cafe\u2019s baker Phil on the Fox sitcom, but who is known for dozens of roles over his nearly four-decade career, died on October 24 at the age of 67 following a medical emergency experienced while driving. His funeral was attended by many others. <em>Call me Kat<\/em>Production has been reportedly stopped indefinitely. Mayim Bialik, executive producer and star of the show, took to social media to share some deeply felt words about her colleague.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s believed that Leslie Jordan suffered a medical emergency that caused his BMW to crash into the side of a building on Monday morning in Los Angeles. Many people in the entertainment business were shocked by the loss. With the <em>Call me Kat<\/em> family \u2014 who <u>Bob Saget was the honored guest on their set<\/u> after his own tragic passing \u2014 figuring out how to move forward without their Phil, <a href=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2022\/10\/24\/leslie-jordan-dies-call-me-kat-season-3-production-phil\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/tvline.com\/2022\/10\/24\/leslie-jordan-dies-call-me-kat-season-3-production-phil\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><u>TV Line<\/u><\/a>According to reports, Season 3 production will be halted for unknown reasons. Jordan had already completed filming on nine of the current season\u2019s episodes, of which four have already aired. The sitcom was ready to introduce a new love interest for Phil, as John Griffin had been cast as Jalen \u2014 a lawyer by day and drag performer by night.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s likely even those closest to the show don\u2019t yet know how they\u2019re going to proceed with the story following this tragedy. It\u2019s obvious from Jackson\u2019s words how big a loss this is, as he described Jordan as silly, serious, soulful, \u201cALWAYS kind,\u201dAn expert in telling dirty jokes.<\/p>\n<p>If it wasn\u2019t obvious from these tributes how much Leslie Jordan loved what he did, it\u2019s also pretty apparent in the number of projects he was involved in in recent years.
