The FX original\u2019s fourth and final season has been impeccable, providing viewers with more of the humor, surrealism and social commentary that they\u2019ve come to expect. The show has had some funny moments throughout the season, including one that featured actor Chris Evans. The actor himself didn\u2019t actually appear, and series EP Stephen Glover revealed that he and his team never reached out to the star about a cameo. Evans replied to Glover&#8217;s comments.<\/p>\n<p>The sixth episode <em>Atlanta<\/em> Season 4 sees Brian Tyree Henry\u2019s Alfred \u201cPaper Boi\u201dMiles tries to avoid the \u201cCrank Dat Killer,\u201d an assassin who targets people who\u2019ve made dance videos set to Soulja Boy\u2019s \u201cCrank That.\u201dAl attempts to hide himself while shopping at the mall but is quickly recognized and recognised by a clerk. After calling him out for trying disguise, she points to Chris Evans who is nearby and signs autographs.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"><\/aside>\n<p>As great as the joke is, it would\u2019ve been even better had the Marvel alum appeared as opposed to a double, and the star himself seemed to have been open to that. While perusing Twitter, the actor spotted Stephen Glover\u2019s quotes about not reaching out to him and reacted by asking a simple question:\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Why not??<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>I won\u2019t lie, I have to agree with the A-lister\u2019s sentiment. Let&#8217;s face it, <em>Atlanta<\/em>In the past, some of its guests stars have been quite surprising, including Liam Neeson and Michael Vick. (Yes, that&#8217;s right. Soulja Boy even made a brief appearance in the most recent episode. Stephen Glover stated that he had not reached out to Soulja Boy because he was no longer a Captain America actor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p>We didn\u2019t try to get Chris Evans. We just think he\u2019s funny. The writers\u2019 room has several running jokes about Chris Evans, but we\u2019ve never tried to get him.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Though some fans (like myself) will probably lament that missed opportunity, it\u2019s not a major thing in the midst of this stellar season. Honestly, as this season goes on, I\u2019m simply reminded of just how much I\u2019ll miss <em>Atlanta<\/em>. But despite the show\u2019s continued popularity, <u>Donald Glover felt it was best to retire after Season 4.<\/u>. He and the cast and crew are definitely making the most of the final episodes, as they\u2019ve covered a myriad of topics (<u>Includes the shelf lives for Black musicians<\/u>). If the series continues at this pace, it will be <u>It could be even more. <\/u><u><em>The Sopranos<\/em><\/u><u>\u2019 final season<\/u> \u2013 a notion that Glover previously argued.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>I guess if there\u2019s any consolation here, it\u2019s that we now seemingly know that Chris Evans is one of the show\u2019s many fans. He may still feel guilty about not getting a call. However, I\u2019d be lying if I said I won\u2019t continue to think about just how great a cameo he could\u2019ve had.<\/p>\n<p><em>Atlanta<\/em>New episodes are aired every Thursday at 10:10 p.m. ET on FX is part of the <u>2022 TV schedule<\/u>.
