Charlotte Church said that her latest project is a Welsh wellness retreat. \u201cas accessible as possible\u201dDespite the current cost-of-living crisis<\/p>\n

The Welsh singer-songwriter, aged 36, first rose to prominence as an operatic performer at the age 11 and then became a pop star later in life. The Dreaming is a nature-oriented venture that transformed Rhydoldog into a derelict Welsh house called The Dreaming.<\/p>\n

Self-professed self-professed speaker on This Morning \u201cecowarrior\u201dChurch stated that she wants to make the retreat accessible to people of all backgrounds. \u201cpay what you can\u201d \u201cpay it forward\u201d schemes.<\/p>\n\n

Church told presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that The Dreaming Retreat\u2019s rooms are \u201call at different price points so people can access it.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also added: \u201cOne thing that was really important to me was to make it as accessible as I could.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will be a pay what you can space on all the retreats that we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cI really want to set up a pay it forward scheme, I really want to work with different charitable partners, so over this next six months to a year I\u2019m really going to see what our options are to make this as accessible as possible and as useful as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n

Church recently announced via her Instagram that the seven bedroom property \u2013 once owned by Laura Ashley \u2013 turned healing retreat is now available for bookings.<\/p>\n

The renovation process is also being followed on TV show Charlotte Church\u2019s Dream Build, which airs on Really.<\/p>\n

Church purchased the property two-years ago and has been actively involved in the renovation project since then, with the first series airing last year and second series starting on Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n

The singer, who previously performed for Queen and the former US president Bill Clinton, announced that she will be performing in a \u201cpractitioner\u201dat the retreat and what you plan to do \u201cchanting and singing to the land\u201dAs part of the experience.<\/p>\n

The country mansion has been renovated and features many themed rooms, such as the moon room, mushroom room, and mystic room.<\/p>\n

Church explained the motivation behind this project by saying: \u201cI am such an eco-warrior, I\u2019m sure a nature person, that\u2019s sort of what I\u2019m really motivated to do anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n

She said that the effects of the pandemic on people and the growing pressures placed on them drove her to create a space where they can unwind and escape from their hectic lives.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn part, it\u2019s about connection to nature,\u201dShe said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn our busy lives we don\u2019t have time, people are so distracted by everything, our nervous systems are getting burnt out, our mental health isn\u2019t coping very well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Church also mentioned that the retreat will be \u201cgentle and self-guided,\u201d meaning guests \u201ccan access it at any level\u201d.<\/p>\n
