Shia LaBeouf, for the first time, talked openlyAbout the abuse allegations brought against him, calling himself on Friday\u2019s Jon Bernthal podcast \u201cReal Ones\u201d a \u201cpleasure-seeking, selfish\u2026human being.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo matter what the case is, my job as your friend is to, in whatever way you allow me to or you allow me to be a part of that process is to make sure, 1) you never do it again,\u201dBernthal spoke to LaBeouf. \u201c2) that you\u2019re in a healthy process and number three, that I\u2019m a support system for why you\u2019re going through that. For people who support you and love you. What do you want to say to them?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI hurt that woman,\u201dLaBeouf spoke in a Podcast excerpt<\/a>Instagram. \u201cAnd in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centered, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cI f\u2014ed up bad. Like crash and burn type s\u2014. [I] hurt a lot of people, and I\u2019m fully aware of that. And I\u2019m going to owe for the rest of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He didn\u2019t name musician FKA Twigs, who brought allegations against him in 2020. <\/p>\n

She spoke out about her former boyfriend\u2019s sexual battery and fostering of an abusive relationship in a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles as well as an Interview<\/a>The New York Times. FKA Twigs dated LaBeouf for one year, after they met on the set. \u201cHoney Boy\u201dHe was a star in (2019).<\/p>\n

LaBeouf was the subject of the lawsuit. \u201crelentless abuse\u201dThe musician’s real name is Tahliah Dett Barnett. She was also accused of inflicting emotional distress upon her, and also of knowingly giving her a sexually transmitted virus while they were together in 2018.<\/p>\n

Barnett and the lawsuit both described an incident that occurred while driving through the desert. LaBeouf pulled over on the highway, unbuckled his seat belt, and threatened to drive the car into the sand if she did not confess her love for the man. Barnett said that LaBeouf pulled over at a gas station, assaulted her, threw her against the car, and then forced her back in the car.\u00a0<\/p>\n

LaBeouf sat down<\/a>Recent conversation with Bishop Barron about acting and his upcoming role \u201cPadre Pio\u201dHe also spoke out about his conversion to Catholicism, which has allowed him to confront this part of his history.<\/p>\n

\u201cI walked into this \u2013 my life was on fire,\u201d LaBeouf said of his taking the role of Padre Pio in the Abel Ferrara\u2019s film. \u201cI was walking out of hell. It wasn\u2019t like I willingly came in here on a white horse singing show tunes. I came in here on fire, and I didn\u2019t want to be an actor anymore. My life was a complete mess, and I had hurt a lot of people. I felt deep shame and deep guilt. I didn\u2019t like to go outside much.\u201d<\/p>\n
