However, a new casting has come in for someone who won\u2019t be present in the former, but will cross paths with Tom Cruise\u2019s Ethan Hunt in the latter. <em>Mindhunter<\/em>Holt McCallany, star of Star Wars, has joined <em>Mission: Impossible 8<\/em>It sounds like a major role.<\/p>\n<p><em>Mindhunter<\/em>Fans know Holt McCallany as the FBI agent Bill Tench in the two seasons of Netflix that were streamed to Netflix subscribers between 2017-2018. McCallany\u2019s other credits include movies like <em>Alien 3<\/em>, <em>Alpha Dog<\/em>, <em>Gangster Squad<\/em>, <em>Wrath of Man<\/em>And <em>Nightmare Alley<\/em>Other TV shows like <em>CSI: Miami<\/em>, <em>Blue Bloods<\/em>And <em>61st Street<\/em>. <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/07\/mission-impossible-dead-reckoning-part-two-adds-mindhunter-star-holt-mccallany-1235080004\/\" data-url=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2022\/07\/mission-impossible-dead-reckoning-part-two-adds-mindhunter-star-holt-mccallany-1235080004\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Deadline<\/a>McCallany will now appear in, according to McCallany&#8217;s share. <em>Mission: Impossible \u2014 Dead Reckoning Part Two<\/em>Bernstein is Secretary of Defense.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"hawk-nest\" data-render-type=\"fte\" data-skip=\"dealsy\" data-widget-type=\"seasonal\"><\/aside>\n<p>It&#8217;s almost like <em>Mission: Impossible \u2014 Dead Reckoning Part One<\/em>For the eighth episode, plot details will be kept secret. <em>Mission: Impossible<\/em> movie. The first movie is a sure thing. <em>Mission: Impossible 7<\/em> trailer provided a little context for the beginning of what\u2019s expected to be the end of Tom Cruise\u2019s run as Ethan Hunt, but without having seen that movie, we\u2019re far from learning what we should expect from <em>Dead Reckoning Part II<\/em>. That said, with Holt McCallany playing the U.S. Secretary of Defense, there\u2019s a good chance we\u2019ll see him interacting with Ethan at some point, although as has happened time and time again in this spy franchise, just because Bernstein holds a powerful government position doesn\u2019t mean he\u2019s on our protagonist\u2019s side.<\/p>\n<p>The other newcomers to the scene include <em>Mission: Impossible<\/em>Holt McCallany&#8217;s franchise appears in <em>Dead Reckoning Part II<\/em>Hayley Atwell will portray the mysterious Grace, Esai morales as one the villains, Shea Whighan playing Jasper Briggs, and Pom Klementieff playing an undisclosed part. Turning to the familiar faces, Ethan Hunt will be joined once again by Ving Rhames\u2019 Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg\u2019s Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson\u2019s Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby\u2019s Alanna Mitsopolis and Henry Czerny\u2019s Eugene Kittridge. As he\u2019s been doing since <em>Rogue Nation<\/em>Christopher McQuarrie wrote and directed both of the upcoming movies. <em>Mission: Impossible<\/em>Movies, with <em>Dead Reckoning Part II<\/em>Still in principal photography<\/p>\n<p><em>Mission: Impossible \u2014 Dead Reckoning Part Two<\/em>Part Two will follow it on July 14, 2023. Part One will be released on June 28, 2024. There aren\u2019t a lot of other 2024 releases to keep track of yet, but you\u2019re welcome to look through the 2023 release schedule to see the movies coming our way next year.
