The Port of Dover, Kent was also packed with travellers who waited outside of their cars in hot weather to join the long queues.<\/p>\n

The sun was shining on Brits as well.<\/p>\n

According to the Met Office today’s temperatures will reach 27C with lots of sunshine in the country.<\/p>\n

It predicts that today will be “fine and dry with plenty of sunshine”With most areas being warmer today than yesterday. <\/p>\n

It brought some good news to hay fever sufferers, as pollen levels began to drop for many. <\/p>\n

Central Recorderday Times has revealed the five most popular beaches in the country to cool off, with a surprising top spot.<\/p>\n

Brits were advised to stop drinking alcohol and caffeine as the heatwave continues. <\/p>\n

Instead, government scientists begged them for water to keep them hydrated. <\/p>\n

Coffee and alcohol are diuretic. This means that people lose more fluids through sweating more and frequent trips to the toilet. <\/p>\n

You could get dehydrated in high heat. This can lead to headaches, dizziness and sickness. <\/p>\n

It happened as the Met Office published a “danger to life”Warning for the first-time.<\/p>\n

Experts advised Brits against traveling Monday and Tuesday due to extreme heat. <\/p>\n

Network Rail indicated that trains will be delayed and cancelled most likely. <\/p>\n
