The curly-haired heartthrob shared his single Friday \u201cSucks to Know You,\u201dThis is a guitar-driven, middle-finger-up anthem about healing from heartbreak.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow I got about a thousand things\/to say to you\/But I\u2019m down to four\/It goes like,\u201dHe sets up the chorus and sings: \u201cFuck you\/I hate you\/I miss you\/Sucks to know you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As he belts out his breakup lyrics, he drives an old car into a beautiful Croatian field of flowers. Mergui sings the new song. <em>Rolling Stone<\/em>, \u201cwas written when I was coming out of a very difficult point in my life.\u201d He seemingly refers to his public breakup from\u00a0fellow musician Noa Kirel, who recently signed to Atlantic Records and is also launching a career in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt so many different things: a tornado of anger and sadness mixed with excitement and relief,\u201dHe says. Mergui stated their relationship during a Sun Rose Thursday showcase \u201cwas in front of the cameras,\u201dIt was almost like that \u201cthe media was almost sleeping in our bed.\u201d)<\/p>\n<p>Now, after going through the wringer in Israel, he\u2019s starting a new journey, led by the hand of Saban Music Group, the label home of reggaet\u00f3n pioneer Don Omar. \u201cEver since I was a little kid, I dreamed of doing music in English,\u201d Mergui tells\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone<\/em>. \u201cThis is something I\u2019ve worked towards my whole life, and Haim Saban and the team at Saban Music Group made it a reality.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mergui has been a household name in Israel for a while now, but with his first-ever single in English, he\u2019s ready for U.S. audiences to get to know him, too.
