WORKING in the food business means you’re privy to a lot of aspects of restaurants and grocery stores that others don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

For some in the business, it could mean regularly witnessing unsanitary conditions that can\u2019t be unseen.<\/p>\n

Kelly Scott, a chef, is known for his passion for cooking. @kellyscleankitchen<\/a> on TikTok, revealed a few things she\u2019ll never eat because of her experience in the business.<\/p>\n

The clip begins: \u201cOk you know that TikTok that\u2019s going around of the paramedic saying, \u2018Things I wouldn\u2019t do with my knowledge of being a paramedic?\u2019 I\u2019m going to do that, except: chef version.\u201d<\/p>\n

RESTAURANT SPECIALS<\/h2>\n

Many people listen intently when the waiter in a restaurant tells us about the most delicious dishes of the day.<\/p>\n

Kelly, however, said she\u2019s hesitant to order any of those.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the majority of the restaurants I worked at, specials were being pushed because they contained ingredients that were old and needed to get out.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo like, the fish was old and they were pushing that special for the day.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, because it\u2019s not on the usual menu, the chefs don\u2019t regularly make it.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt doesn\u2019t taste as good because they\u2019re not used to cooking it.\u201d<\/p>\n

DISCOUNTED MEAT & SEAFOOD<\/h2>\n

Her second rule was not to buy seafood or meat at a discount in a grocery store.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what that means? It\u2019s old! Especially seafood. I\u2019m not buying it. It\u2019s old.\u201d<\/p>\n

RAW OYSTERS<\/h2>\n

Kelly stated that although many people crave the creamy, salty taste and texture of raw oysters but she avoids them.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is going to be controversial, but oysters are the dirtiest thing in the ocean. They remove the ocean.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are filters. So, the majority of the diseases that people get from seafood are from oysters.\u201d<\/p>\n
