Shawn Mendes said that he would postpone his schedule of concerts because it was difficult for him to manage his decision to go back to touring.<\/p>\n

In a post on social media<\/a>Mendes stated that the move was made. \u201cbreaks his heart,\u201dHowever, nearly a decade of being in the limelight was beginning to wear on the Canadian singer. \u201cAfter a few years off the road, I felt like I was ready to dive back in, but that decision was premature and unfortunately the toll of the road and the pressure has caught up to me and I\u2019ve hit a breaking point,\u201dMendes wrote. \u201cAfter speaking with my team and health professionals, I need to take some time to heal and take care of myself and my mental health, first and foremost. As soon as there are more updates I promise I will let you know.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mendes\u2019 expansive Wonder: The World Tour is slated to run through Summer 2023. The affected tour dates cover the next three weeks, beginning with tomorrow\u2019s performance in St. Paul, Minnesota. Others affected dates include previously scheduled stops at St. Louis, Philadelphia, St. Louis, and Cleveland. Mendes indicated that he would resume touring with his Toronto show on July 31.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the first time Mendes has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health.
