World Cup 2022 Opening Ceremony LIVE: Qatar Vs Ecuador, Kick-off Time, stream free, TV channel, teams, most recent

The 2022 FIFA World Cup is open!

The World Cup in Qatar is here! It’s the ultimate pre-Christmas treat that every football fan has been waiting for.

Qatar is a country of less than 3 million inhabitants. It expects to receive a total of around 1.2million visitors from the rest of the world in the next month.

The Qatar World Cup will last for 29 days (20 Nov. to 18 Dec.) and it will be the shortest World Cup ever since 1978 when Argentina hosted it.

For football fans, this is a huge plus because it means that there are four games per day in most group stages.

Talk of the tournament, ever since the news was announced that is had been awarded to Qatar, has been of a negative nature with the country’s human rights policy, how the bid was made successful and the banning of alcohol in and around the grounds, has given a negative outlook towards this World Cup.

FIFA has urged all 32 participating teams to ‘focus on the football’ now with the world’s biggest showpiece coming to the Middle-Eastern country.
