Will Smith’s “Emancipation” Set for December Release, Oscar Run, First Trailer (Video)

Will Smith returns to business sooner than anticipated with action thriller “Emancipation,”Apple Original Films has scheduled the film for a Dec. 2, theatrical release, and a Dec. 9, release on Apple TV+.

Thought “Emancipation”Apple delayed the film’s original release date of 2022. The delay was reversed and this film could be a contender for an Oscar.

The teaser features Smith as Peter, a slave who escapes a Lousiana plantation after he is whipped almost to death.
