Changes are happening to the network TV schedule in 2023, and it’s going to look a lot different for ABC from its fall 2022 lineup. It’s definitely a surprising move for ABC, considering the cop procedural has aired on Sundays since Season 2. This switch might make it easier for crossovers with other shows. The Rookie: Feds, as fans wouldn’t have to wait two extra days to finish out a two-part event. Or, the event can begin on Feds, five extra days.
Both Rookie This is a huge advantage as shows can air at the same time and even earlier in the evening. This gives the shows more chances to connect cases, and characters can make appearances more organically, even if it’s not a huge crossover. This could also help to attract more viewers to both shows.
The Rookie: Feds Recently, ABC received a full season order. This means that there may be more crossovers. ABC appears to be trying to pair the shows together. This could become a regular feature if they both are renewed for the 2023-24 seasons, which I would certainly not mind. When it comes to crime shows, it has worked for both CBS and NBC.
Nathan Fillion has previously spoken out about one concern about A. Rookie spinoff, which was the possibility for someone from his show to go to the spinoff. At least, not yet. The Rookie Has felt the urge to join the FBI. Though it’s hard to tell if that will stick once the shows are paired up together.
The series’ latest development is the new night. With Nathan Fillion’s John Nolan now a T.O., The Rookie’s title is still relevant, but just in a different way. He’s been training new officer Celina, played by Chicago P.D. Lisseth Chavez is a vet. It will be interesting for Simone to hear what advice he gives Celina.
