Trump Jr. tweeted after the Rittenhouse verdict. “Gun Owners of America is sending Kyle Rittenhouse an AR-15. Sign the card in support of Kyle. Americans have a fundamental right to defend themselves, and to keep and bear arms. The verdict in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial is a recognition of those rights.”Per Insider, the tweet was later deleted by the son of former President Trump. The Rittenhouse defense attorney had other thoughts after Trump Jr.’s harsh words. Richards was dissatisfied with Fox News embedding with Rittenhouse during the trial.
Rittenhouse’s defense attorney stated that he was against the Fox News crew filming Rittenhouse behind the scenes during the trial. Richards spoke to CNNTucker Carlson’s interview with Rittenhouse on November 22nd and Fox News’ documentary about the trial of December in December. “I threw them out of the room several times,”Richards stated this to CNN. “I don’t think a film crew is appropriate for something like this.”The defense attorney also added “And I didn’t approve of it.
