The mainstream print media has been highly critical of Boris Johnson today.
Today’s broadsheets and tabloids in England and Scotland, and of all political persuasions all by and large splash with negative coverage of the prime minister, following accusations first published by ITV that he attended a lockdown breaking garden party in May 2020 while people were told they could only meet one other person.
Downing Street have not commented on the allegations, citing Sue Gray’s ongoing investigation into alleged gatherings during lockdown but many politicians have said that if it is revealed that Johnson was a party attendee then his gig is up.
