Quartermaine stables Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) tells Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) he’d just like to get to know her a little better, and asks if she’ll let him. Britt looks at him like she knows all she needs to know about him considering they’re standing in front of the stable entrance with Comet the horse acting like a chaperone. That wasn’t likely what she expected for a first date, considering she is dressed nicely like she was expecting a dinner at a fancy restaurant.
Cody will continue asking Britt to tell him more inside information about herself, but she’ll continue to be suspicious and hesitant. Britt suspects Cody may be trying to get to know Britt better for a different reason.
Marshall Ashford (Robert Gosset) requests Epiphany Johnson to board The Haunted Star. Actually, there are actually two requests. Marshall has been trying to encourage Epiphany to use her obvious singing talent more often as there haven’t been any Nurses’ Balls for her to perform at recently. Marshall offers to host an open mike evening at The Haunted Star and asks Epiphany for one beer and a song. Mac Scorpio (John J. York) is hosting tonight, and it’s a safe place to let loose with music; Marshall tells her to let loose. If he’s gotten his clarinet repaired, he might provide some backup as well or go to town with a solo or two of his own.
Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), and Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), tell their brother that something almost sounds too good to be true. It looks like they’ve been working out together at Volonino’s Gym and they’re both pretty hot and sweaty looking. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had
Chase is currently being talked to about changing careers and becoming a singer. His law enforcement career is in peril.Chase is seriously considering Brook Lynn’s strong suggestion, and anyone who has seen him on the Nurses’ Balls knows she’s right. Chase tells his brother about his singing one of Brook Lynn’s songs having gone viral on the net when Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) posted it.
Meanwhile, at the Metro Court Bar, Brook Lynn is having to field Linc Brown’s (Dan Buran) harassment again, telling him she’s found something she wants more than fame. She’s undoubtedly talking about being Chase’s manager and promoting his talent, and she can write new songs for him to sing-and wanting Chase himself. That would make her a competitor to Linc being a talent promoter and her the writer of Chase’s hits. She could easily start her own record label as well, learning from her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) who co-owned L & B Records. That’s where her father Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) recorded on under “Eddie Maine”.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) talk about her pregnancy and hearing the baby’s heartbeat the first time. Michael says “so far, so good”He assumes that everything is fine with Willow. But what she doesn’t tell him is there is a suspected underlying condition she’s had for months, involving a too high white blood cell count.
Obviously, she doesn’t want to worry Michael until there’s something to worry about, because there are minor things that could cause that. But Willow fears what TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) wouldn’t tell her, and that is he has a suspicion it might be something serious.
Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), and Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros), appear to be in an examination room at General Hospital. Sasha is now ready to be released. Nina is worried about Sasha’s addiction to pills because she remembers the time she nearly died from a Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Sasha is annoyed at having to be micromanaged about past pill issues that she claims are still in the past. She cries out loudly and denies that she’s addicted to Nina, who is obviously worried she’s in denial.
Elsewhere, Sasha’s husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) asks Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to look into something. Sonny assures him that he is trustworthy and will take care of it. There’s a good chance that Brando wants Sonny to do something about the paparazzo following Sasha’s every move, namely Felty (Brian Norris). Brando is likely to suspect that Felty was at the set on Sasha’s break from reality television. Felty has been chasing her ever since the Deception IPO and Brando’s getting tired of it.
