Warning: WhatsApp updates that let friends view everything on your device

An urgent alert has been sent out regarding a WhatsApp update that lets friends view everything you do on your device.

Screen Share allows you to share the screen of your smartphone with others.

According to bosses, the new feature lets users share bits and pieces from documents or websites – as well as demonstrate clever phone hacks.

Zoom, Apple FaceTime and Microsoft Teams, as well as Google Meet, already offer a screen sharing feature.

WhatApp’s owner Meta said: “Whether sharing documents for work, browsing photos with family, planning a vacation or shopping online with friends, or just helping grandparents with tech support – screen sharing lets you share a live view of your screen during the call.”

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta’s chief executive officer, also shared a photo of him taking part in WhatApp calls where someone else was sharing their computer screen.

In the next few weeks, a “Share” option will be available in the app. You can choose to share the entire screen of your device or merely one application.

Be sure to conceal anything that you do not want to be seen by your friends before clicking the button.

WhatsApp users are now able to send landscape video messages, giving them a better view of their loved ones.

Meta announced last month that its users would soon be able send video messages of up to a minute in chat.

According to a spokesperson, voice messages on WhatsApp have changed how we communicate. They are a secure and quick way of sharing our voices.

“We’re excited to build on this feature with new instant video messages.

You can now record personal videos and send them directly to the chat.

After millions of Brits had been warned that Google would delete their old photos forever, they are now being urged to search for the hidden folder.
