Vanessa said, “If you can’t bring my babies back, can you please secure the area?”Vanessa found out three days later that the first responders had shared photos of the tragic crash. The court heard the testimony of the mother-of-4. “I trusted them not to do these things.” The New York TimesIt was reported that Vanessa’s testimony at the trial was an important moment, with the mother of a grieving widow sharing her feelings about discovering the photos. “I felt like I wanted to run down the block and just scream,” Vanessa said. “But I couldn’t escape. I can’t escape my body.”
