Before auditioning, “Euphoria,”Cloud had been in New York since 2002. Cloud was primarily employed as a restaurant server at the time. Interview with GQCloud shared that he was stopped by a casting representative as he was going down a Manhattan street. Cloud explained his hesitation about the authenticity of the audition after inviting him to audition. “I was confused and I didn’t want to give her my phone number,”He elaborated. “I thought it was a scam.”
In the end, however, Cloud agreed to take a meeting — and his multiple readings for “Euphoria”It seemed to be a good investment. The actor was chosen for his authenticity and he eventually moved to Los Angeles to start filming the series. Cloud said that he struggled with nerves when he first started acting, especially because he hadn’t acted before. Cloud noted that he had never acted before. “I was trying to look normal and relaxed and chill … But on the inside, I’m like, ‘I don’t know what I am doing. Why did they bring me over here for this? They should have gotten a real actor for this job’.”
Cloud’s dedication to the role seems to have earned him many fans, especially in light Fezco’s blossoming romance with Maude-Apatow’s Lexi Howard. (via Grazia Magazine).
