The movie world has been shocked by Jon Watts’s success in the past few weeks. Spider-Man has no way home. This blockbuster was a huge success in December and received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. With titles such as Ruben Fleisher’s, that excitement should continue in 2022. Uncharted (also starring Tom Holland) – and the fun, brand new extended clip featured above suggests there’s good reason to keep fingers crossed.
Nathan Drake, the character played by Tom Holland in the new video game adaptation, isn’t like Peter Parker – in that he doesn’t have any superpowers – but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have some cool moves. He is seen in this clip performing some impressive gymnastics to avoid cargo and to defeat the villains.
Of course, the fact that he’s not a superhero means that Nathan Drake is in serious trouble at the end of the clip – hit by a car and tumbling out of control toward Earth. How is he going to survive? To find out, you’ll need to wait for next month.
Uncharted is a project that has had a whole lot of ups and downs since it was first announced – which fans will recollect was all the way back in 2009. Over the last decade, the blockbuster-worthy film has seen multiple directors, including Shawn Levy (Dan Trachtenberg), Neil Burger, Shawn Gordon, Shawn Levy, Travis Knight, and David O. Russell. However, it’s finally set to hit theaters near you.
In 2020, the film was finally put into production. Release date forced by COVID-19 pandemicYou can still shift multiple times. It is likely that it has no plans to move at this time. UnchartedIt is just a month and a half away from wide availability.
In addition to Tom Holland, the new movie also stars Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali, Antonio Banderas, and Tati Gabrielle – who plays the principal antagonist in the UnchartedYou can see the clip below. This film tells the origin story of Nathan Drake, and serves as a prequel for the long line video games.
