Ukraine news: The latest: Russia’s “atrocities” and war crimes are condemned by world leaders as a brutal strike that has left 19 people dead

The WORLD leaders have condemned the “atrocities and war crimes”After the horrific shelling of civilians at Kyiv, Russia has taken responsibility for Ukraine.

After these bloodthirsty strikes the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zilensky called upon his international allies to condemn Vladimir Putin’s brutal attacks.

An emergency broadcast by the service confirmed this morning that at least 19 people had been killed in the attacks.

These strikes were strongly condemned by the world’s leaders. The US President Joe Biden has criticized them. “utter brutality of Mr Putin’s illegal war on the Ukrainian people.”

Mr Biden added: “We offer our condolences to the families and loved ones of those who were senselessly killed today, as well as our best wishes for the recovery of those who were wounded. We will continue to impose costs on Russia for its aggression, hold Putin and Russia accountable for its atrocities and war crimes, and provide the support necessary for Ukrainian forces to defend their country and their freedom.”

    This is just a few days after a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia resulted in the deaths of 13 Ukrainians, including a child.

    “We will continue to provide unwavering financial, humanitarian, security assistance so Ukraine is able to defend itself, take care of its citizens.”
