BRITS are facing floods and downpours for the next two days. There could be up to three inches in rain today.

The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for today starting at 3:00pm and lasting until noon on Saturday.

Parts of Kent and Surrey could see heavy rain causing floods from Friday and into Saturday

This warning applies to most of south-east England, including Surrey and Kent.

Flooding and rain spray could make driving difficult. Some roads may even be closed.

It is possible for bus and train services to be cancelled or delayed in flood-prone areas.

A warning was also issued that there was a chance of flooding in homes and businesses, which could lead to some buildings being damaged.

The UK is currently trying recover from the record-breaking hottest summer.

Aidan McGivern, Met Office forecaster, said: “Across the UK temperatures are going to be below average for the second half of the weekend and into Monday as well as Tuesday.”

He stated that it would be “most likely the coldest air of the season so far.”

McGivern also added: “It’s certainly going to feel cold first thing with a touch of frost in the North and chilly winds.”

Tuesday will be the coldest day of the season, as the weather is still unsettled. However, temperatures should rise as the week progresses.
