Cardi has made a big impression as the host of the American Music Awards for her first time. From her red carpet look — which featured a gold mask that completely covered her face, as seen on her Official Twitter— to her actions on stage, Cardi B seems to be divisive. Some people found her performance endearing. One however, did not. Twitter user writing, “what I love the most about Cardi B is that she’s a loud ethnic woman from the Bronx with a thick a** Latin urban accent … She takes up space and she does it unapologetically!” Another thing that was highly praisedHer personal journey. “This woman have [sic] came a long way and she proves everytime [sic] why God keeps blessing her, and I’m proud of her. Shine baby shine.”
Some people find her personality too much. Twitter userPosting “I can’t understand a word cardi b is saying.”The majority of criticism comes from Cardi B’s inordinate focus on BTS. In her interview with VarietyShe revealed that she had been supposed to work with the boyband but was conflicted by time. Now, there are some Twitter usersShe seems to be asking if she has beef from the BTS Army. “Why does Cardi B keep mocking ARMY lmfao think she got her feelings hurt,”One person laughed.
Cardi B is clearly polarizing, regardless of her political views. Some might even argue that she has used this to her advantage. Good press is all good press, right?
