Twelve people were killed when masked gunmen broke into a bar and began firing on customers as they cowered in terror

Gunmen executed at LEAST 12 people after they entered a central Mexico bar to join growing gang violence.

Initial reports suggest that six men and six women were killed in Guanajuato’s Irapuato Bar on Saturday at 8:45pm. Three other victims were also injured.

Local media reported that customers were enjoying their evening at El Pantano’s Texana bar when El Pantano’s heavily armed men opened fire.

Customers and employees tried to run by the back door of the bar, but few were able to flee. Fearful neighbours could hear the gunfire and fled to help others.
